You will be part of our Group Risk, Compliance & Sustainability team, which is a business partnering function working across our group companies and all parts of our value chain. 

Bring sustainability to life and strengthen risk management
You will play a central role in shaping, driving and anchoring our sustainability strategy - the strategy that defines GN’s effort to ensure sustainable business practices in alignment with our overall business strategy. You will also be involved in driving our enterprise risk management processes, which is a unique opportunity to gain a broader business insight and create a large internal network. 

To accomplish this, you will:
• Refine the strategy and roadmap for sustainability in GN and drive its execution 
• Establish a cross-functional governance framework for sustainability initiatives 
• Identify relevant and actionable sustainability (ESG) metrics for GN to track and report on in order to enable data-driven measurement and communication of non-financial results
• Report externally on progress within our work with the ten principles of the UN Global Compact and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
• Identify material risks and opportunities associated with our business activities and pertaining to the environment, climate, human rights, social and labor issues 
• Enhance and maintain our policy and due diligence framework within areas such as responsible sourcing and human/labor rights
• Take part in driving ongoing identification, assessment and management of key business risks across our global organization (outside the sustainability area)
• Support selected business areas in risk management in accordance with company and local needs

Gain a global network
You will join our Risk & Compliance team consisting of 2 Compliance Officers, a Student Assistant and the Senior Director. You will have plenty of opportunities to have your voice heard, and at the same time gain expert knowledge of enterprise risk management. In this position you should expect some travelling. 

Risk & Sustainability expert
It is vital that you are able to build a strong network and use your communicative skills to engage people at all levels of the organization. With your persistent nature, you are able to drive projects through indirect leadership. You are a self-starter and take responsibility for your initiatives. You are able to and enjoy facilitating workshops to engage stakeholders. You are able to see through an entire value chain and pinpoint areas where CSR and sustainability can bring most value. 

You also have:
• A master’s degree – most likely in a business-related field of study 
• 6+ years of work experience (Experience within electronics manufacturing is a plus but not a requirement)
• Solid knowledge and experience within CSR / sustainability and risk assessment tools, preferably gained as part of a large international manufacturing company or advisory firm 
• Fluent communication skills in English and international experience
