About the department Drug safety is an integral part of the drug development and one of the two factors of the benefit-risk evaluation. Drug safety is now in focus more than ever. Safety Surveillance Insulin & Devices is an international department of highly committed and skilled professionals with medical or pharmaceutical background. We have the global responsibility for the safety surveillance of all Novo Nordisk insulin products- marketed or in development. The job Your key responsibility will be the ongoing safety surveillance of an insulin in clinical development phase III. This includes the evaluation of the emerging safety data, and the communication of the benefit-risk profile, as required by the EU and US legislation. Close collaboration with other functional areas in Novo Nordisk, especially the clinical development team and the regulatory affairs team is part of your daily job. Qualifications You have medical degree (MD) and minimum 5 years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry in the medical/clinical development or drug safety departments. Preferably, you have documented scientific training (PhD) or speciality training. Experience from interactions with regulatory authorities will be an additional advantage. You are ethical and reliable, with an intense focus on patient safety. You have strong drive and are a dedicated team player, who thrives in a global environment of continuous development, and focuses on quality of work and the results of the team. Interaction with internal and external experts require proficiency in English, excellent communication, coordination and planning skills. Applications must be written in English.
