About the department The focus for R&D Communications is to connect people, facilitate knowledge-transfer, and transform ideas and potentials into R&D focused communication, branding and learning opportunities in support of the corporate strategy and Novo Nordisk’s commitment to patients. The job As a key player in the R&D Communications team, your role will be to transform scientific progress in Novo Nordisk’s pipeline and R&D organisation into compelling communication that purposefully engages external and internal stakeholders. Along this, you will become a content driver, author and editor of all internal off-line and on-line R&D channels, as well as a key contributor to external R&D branding events aiming at showcasing and demonstrating Novo Nordisk’s commitment to patients through pioneering, ground-breaking protein engineering and medical devices. As the editor and author of R&D stories, you will represent the department in several cross-organisational networks and task forces, and via these ensure that R&D delivers key contributions to the overall communication and branding efforts. Additionally, you will advise and support R&D senior leaders across the R&D organisation, focusing on the Type 2 diabetes and Device R&D teams, and play a key role in global communication initiatives in close collaboration with your colleagues in R&D Communications as well as colleagues from eg Marketing and Medical Affairs. Qualifications Your excellent and proven storytelling skills, ‘can do’ and team mindset, experience in a-z communication project management and ability to deliver high-impact results via stakeholder engagement are crucial for your ability to succeed in this job. Most likely you hold a degree in life science journalism, backed by +5 years’ experience from driving impactful strategic communication/stakeholder engagement activities within (or focusing on) ‘health care’. Novo Nordisk’s company language is English (UK). You are used to/will thrive in a role in which you, in addition to the mentioned, play an important role as communication advisor to senior managers in the R&D organisation. As a person you thrive on delivering results in an ever-changing environment where great responsibility goes hand in hand with many tasks and deadlines.
