IT Denmark - Måløv Look forward for a key role involving many aspects of IT, including domain modelling, solution architecture, database design, client-server application development and automation in the cross-field between IT, chemistry, biology, biotechnology and other disciplines of life science. About the department Scientific Applications develops and operates specialised computer systems supporting early stages of Novo Nordisk’s drug research. We bridge life science research and computer science. We are 9 highly skilled colleagues. We work out of Novo Nordisk’s R&D site in Måløv, Denmark, and deploy systems on sites in Denmark, China and the USA. The position You will be a part of a team responsible for development of the next generation of Novo Nordisk scientific applications suite. You will be working with an Electronic Laboratory Notebook, compound databases and other systems supporting protein research. Among your tasks you will find analysis of research work-flows and full-stack design and application development. You will have an important role as connection point between IT and research laboratories. As a team we are responsible for both operation and development, so you will work with all phases of the software lifecycle. Qualifications You hold a PhD or Master's in Science with a solid element of computer science or software engineering in combination with a strong interest in life science. You excel in design and integration tasks. C# with .Net and PLSQL/SQL are among our key technologies, fluency in these or other programming languages is expected. Experience with web technologies is a plus. You should be comfortable with using version control software, issue trackers and deployment systems. You have good analytical and social skills, and you are self-motivated with the ability to initiate, execute and deliver projects both independently and as a team-member. You value close collaboration and direct interaction with end-users. Experience from software development for scientific purposes or in a laboratory environment will be considered as an advantage. If you are newly graduated you can use your thesis, student jobs, etc. as examples of experience.
