About the department

In Biostatistics we work with many kinds of biological data from our clinical trials. Biostatistics is responsible for statistical and programming support to the development of Novo Nordisk drug candidates. It is a dynamic and experienced department with stakeholders in Denmark, India, Japan and China, and our outsourcing partners in India, UK and Germany.

 

You will be part of a department supporting our different project portfolios and also part of a global team of more than 200 statisticians and statistical programmer in our clinical development organisation in Research & Development. In Denmark, we are approximately 140 people organised in smaller departments each supporting one or more clinical projects.

 

The professional background of employees in the Biostatistics departments is diverse. The statisticians have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in statistics and the statistical programmers will typically have qualifications such as a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Natural Science or IT.

 

The position

As a Scientific Student Assistant in Biostatistics you will provide ad-hoc support to the department. Your tasks will vary widely and include programming or validation of analyses and output for our clinical trials, quality control and cross checking of the created output, quality checking of slides created for stakeholders and top management as well as project management and administrative work.

 

The position is part-time and we expect you to work up to 12 hours per week.

 

Qualifications

You are in the late stage of your Bachelor’s degree or early in your Master’s degree in the field of Statistics or Mathematical Science. You are among the best in your class, proficient in English, with profound analytical and programming skills, and you are used to working both independently and in teams. You have attention to details and you are good at planning and organising work. Finally, you approach tasks and colleagues with a positive attitude, energy and a good sense of humour.
