Due to our 2025 strategy of investing heavily in development, LEO Pharma is expanding again. This time, we’re looking for an entry-level medical writer to join us on our exciting journey. You have a background in science but have discovered that the part you enjoy the most is communicating the science, and you would like to use this to benefit patients. 
As a medical writer in LEO you will work closely with clinical project managers, statisticians, medical experts, programmers and many other functions. Over time you will gain an in-depth understanding of the entire clinical development process.

 The job

  • Write and edit original regulatory, scientific, and medical documents fit for purpose
  • Lead and manage the preparation of documents in cross-functional teams
  • Review regulatory, scientific, and medical documents prepared by colleagues, other departments, business partners, or vendors
  • Participate in ongoing standardisation, improvement of procedures, and activities related to the development of the department
  • Support vendors, other departments, and partners in our systems and processes
  • Provide expertise on medical writing and represent clinical disclosure in cross-functional teams

 

The preferred candidate

  • University degree in science (MD, MSc, MSc Pharm or equivalent)
  • Superb command of both written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and an appreciation of well-written documents
  • Research experience, experience with writing publications for scientific journals, knowledge of scientific research methods
  • Knowledge of clinical development, GCP, statistics, and/or applicable regulatory guidelines will be an advantage
  • Experience with project management and facilitating consensus between many stakeholders with varied motives and areas of expertise
  • Experience with working in a multi-cultural setting will be an advantage
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft office package, online searching, working virtually e.g. via Skype, reference management software)
  • Able to thrive in a world of constant change but also able to meet deadlines
  • Systematic and structured, yet pragmatic
  • Strategic but also detail-oriented
  • Creative but also guarding standards
  • Team-player but also able to work alone with large amounts of data and large documents for extended periods of time

 

About Medical Communication

In Medical Communication you will join a group of 18 skilled and energetic colleagues organised in two teams. We are part of Biometrics, which also includes Biostatistics, Statistical Programming, and Data Management. Biometrics is organised in Global Clinical Operations (GCO). 
LEO is on a journey of growth leading to many changes in the company, and you will therefore be expected to contribute actively to the continued development of the Medical Communication function in LEO Pharma. We strive to seek out intelligent implementation of guidelines and regulations and have lively discussions and strong opinions on best practices for producing high quality documents. We expect you to dive into these discussions and contribute with your experience, visions and ambitions.
