It is an ever developing task in a fast paced environment. Supply Chain Operations > Service SIOP > Inventory Management Our Inventory Management department resides in the Global Service business unit in Vestas. The department is overall responsible for the inventory management within the Vestas service supply chain and is as such one of the key players in the global organization. The department operates out of two locations: Aarhus (Denmark) and Chennai (India). The main objective of the Inventory Management department is to ensure an efficient global service inventory through optimized inventory management processes across the value chain with 40.000+ materials on 100+ stock holding locations across the globe. The main responsibilities are found in reaching our inventory turn targets by analyzing the stock distribution and plan, initiate and execute relevant activities to increase turn rates and balance our inventories globally. Placed in the center of the service organization and with responsibility for efficient inventories in the distribution network a position within the Inventory Management department will ensure the right candidate opportunities to work with many aspects of the service supply chain and in direct contact with a large array of internal stakeholders across the supply chain. We are looking for an energetic, well-structured SCM Specialist with good analytical skills and flair for stakeholder management to join our team in Denmark. This position will be responsible for optimization, assessment and development of existing inventory management processes, systems and tools, participation in cross-functional SCM development activities within Vestas and play a vital role in ensuring operational alignment and optimization of internal procedures across our two geographical locations. Responsibilities Support and develop the existing inventory management methods and processes within the team. Be a key player in defining the future setup within the inventory management area including design of systems, processes and instructions. Support the operational team in the inventory management department. Participate on cross-functional optimization initiatives representing the inventory management department. Optimization of the end-to-end service value chain. Your task is to co-drive these efforts and ensure any inventory relevant implications derived from proposed changes are considered. Drive and lead optimization projects within our own team. Anchor and develop our reporting structure. Conduct analysis to support decision making both on operational and tactical level. Qualifications The ideal candidate has 5+ years operational experience with inventory management/or supply chain planning and has delivered strong business results within this area. The ideal candidate has a candidate / master degree within Supply Chain Management, Business administration or similar. You have initiated and driven supply chain optimization initiatives within inventory management and/or planning area preferably within a service supply chain. You are experienced in stakeholder management at both the operational and tactical level of the organization. Competencies You are a team player and you enjoy teaching and supporting your colleagues. You are experienced with structuring and analyzing large data pulled from multiple sources. You thrive in an international environment and are flexible to the extend it is required when having colleagues in NCSA and APAC Region. You are able to work independent on your daily assignments. You are structured and understand the need to align processes across the value chain as well as internally within the Inventor
