We Offer The team is responsible for design and delivery of audit programmes, assurance activities and supporting frameworks, including standards, tools, training and improvement plans. As owners of the corporate audit programme and as the centre of expertise for non-financial audit and assurance processes, our work brings us into contact with all Maersk Oil’s corporate and business entities, plus the wider A. P. Møller Mærsk (APMM) Group. Our Senior Advisors (Audit & Assurance) are valued for their depth and breadth of business experience, the ability to question and challenge constructively at all levels, and the vision to see the big picture whilst simultaneously focusing on the details that matter. By appreciating the human and organisational factors as well as the systems and procedures, we aim to provide value-adding assessments of Maersk Oil’s global businesses, projects and processes. Key Responsibilities You will be expected to carry the authority and independence of an auditor whilst also contributing to the planning and verification of solutions. You will create and customize audits, reviews and training events to suit new situations and audiences. You will engage in the learning and development opportunities offered by a global network and hence influence and lead new initiatives across the network. More specifically this means that you are to: • carry out objective and value-adding assessments of conformance, compliance, effectiveness, lessons learned and opportunities for improvement in relation to: Maersk Oil policies, processes and standards; APMM Group requirements; transformation/change programmes and Global Management System implementation. • work with auditees to ensure that audit and review findings are converted to effective, risk-based action plans • bring to the attention of the Head of Audit & Assurance any significant unresolved issues or global trends • assist the Head of Audit & Assurance in all aspects of A&A programme development, management and delivery. Who we are looking for You hold an academic degree, possibly within business or engineering. You have broad and deep experience of creating, implementing, reviewing, auditing and improving management systems at all levels: from policy and strategy, to hands-on processes and procedures. Knowledge of a wide range of assurance approaches is important to fulfil the scope of this role: from traditional QC and QA, through different types of audit, to modern gap analysis and improvement tools. You have a broad appreciation of the systems, processes, standards, procedures, tools, guidelines and competences necessary for different business entities, projects and functions to succeed. You have a clear view of how audit and assurance activity relates to business risk and performance, including technical, commercial, reputational and HSE aspects. We are not looking for box-ticking, square-cornered policeman or women. What we need are creative, open-minded professionals with a focus on improving “the way we do things around here”. A background in oil and gas or process industries will be beneficial, but other technical, HSE, quality management or business backgrounds are also relevant.
