Ramboll in Denmark is seeking a Senior Bridge Design Engineer for a permanent position in the Copenhagen head office to pursue career opportunities on new innovative projects in Denmark, Scandinavia and internationally. What we offer You will become a member of the project team for new major bridges. The team is currently working with major projects like the Copenhagen-Ringsted railway line, Forth Replacement Crossing in Scotland, two bridges in Kashmir, India and is currently seeking new opportunities both in Denmark and abroad. You will take up the role as senior bridge design engineer and be offered the opportunity to advance in our line of Specialists or Project Management depending on your skills and interests. Ramboll offers a large range of internal and external training that supports either of the two career paths. You will report directly to the Head of Department. Your workplace will be Ramboll Head Office in Copenhagen, but some traveling activities are to be expected. Your qualifications You are an engineer with a minimum of seven to ten years’ experience in all phases of bridge projects with at least five years’ experience in the design of bridges to Euro codes and national codes and you are currently in a position where you would like to get more management responsibility. You are process oriented and able to focus on the customer, which typically is a contractor. You have strong project management skills, experience in leading design teams and making sure your team works as a functioning unit and experience in mentoring junior team members. But foremost you are a skilled design engineer. Additionally, you have an outgoing personality, you are a strong communicator and you thrive on cooperation in a young, dynamic environment. It is beneficial if you have good knowledge of FE modelling packages. You must be fluent in English (spoken as well as written). It is not a requirement that you speak Danish, since many of your possible future colleagues only speak English.
