Would you like to develop and execute radical business improvements for an international operator of offshore wind farms? Join us and become Senior Business Developer in Operations Improvement Projects which is a dedicated team within the operation and maintenance function of our Wind Power division. As our primary tasks we prioritise, develop, and execute projects that transform our business strategy into tangible improvements for our offshore wind farms. Hereby, we reduce cost of energy and operational risks which will make offshore wind a key element to address the climate challenge for our modern society. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility You will be responsible for development and execution of new business solutions with the overall purpose to increase value creation and reduce risks for our portfolio of offshore wind farms in operation. This may for example be related to our co-investor business model, operational setup, or partnerships with new potential suppliers. In most cases you have the role as a project manager with allocated project resources to develop the business solutions. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •Drive project scoping and initiation (incl. objectives, budget estimate, resources, etc.) •Idendify key issues and conduct structured problem solving to investigate potential solutions •Drive decicion-taking process to ensure rapid execution of preferred solutions •Communicate complex business challenge and findings in clear and logical manner •Proactively suggest new value-creating ideas to business Your profile You hold a master’s degree in economics or engineering and you have extensive experience with business development and project management, for example from several years in a similar position in the industry or from the fields of management consultancy or equivalent. It is essential that you hold strong analytical skills which enable you to understand and solve problems in complex business environments. You will have extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint supplemented with good communication skills; and you will be able to convey knowledge to your business partners in a clear and professional way. As we are an international company and cooperate closely with our colleagues abroad, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. On the personal side, it is essential that you have a result-oriented approach to drive decision taking and you are prepared to work intensely during busy periods.
