We are looking for a motivated Senior Buyer to join our Global Procurement department. Our Global Procurement department consists of approximately 25 employees working with both strategic and operational procurement. We are a centrally managed organisation with the majority of our staff having specific responsibilities towards one of our divisions. Located in one of our divisions, you will be working with the project teams to bring a strategic mind-set to the supplier selection process. Responsibilities and tasks: You must have the tact and ability to work in a large industrial corporation along with a global mind-set. Furthermore, you will be responsible for •Building up strong relationships internally across different functions and externally with the suppliers •Leading Procurement activities on small and medium-scale projects and for supporting the management on large scale projects Professional qualifications: You possess a relevant commercial education and are likely to have 5 years + of strategic procurement experience. •Experience in the energy / offshore / oil & gas industry is an advantage, but not a requirement. •Have an understanding and experience of how to operate in a project based organisation. •If you have knowledge of purchasing of steel, piping and similar metal products for the offshore industry this may also be an advantage Your profile: You are ambitious, result-oriented, a great negotiator and enjoy working in a dynamic international environment.
