Then you may be our new Senior Category Manager for our Printed Packaging Materials in Novo Nordisk. About the department Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. We are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. In Finished products, one of the 6 departments in Strategic Sourcing, we are currently looking for a Senior Category Manager for the Printed Packaging Materials category. The job As our Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for securing supply availability for a broad spectrum of printed packaging materials used across all therapeutical areas in Novo Nordisk. You will set the direction through the sourcing strategies, which you own and continuously develop, taking both short- and long-term challenges and opportunities into account. Together with your stakeholders, you will ensure that the sourcing activities are optimized and aligned with the overall strategic goals of Product Supply. The job requires that you are on top of the global market trends and dynamics of relevance to the category, and that you are able to provide timely responses to both sourcing risks and opportunities. Your success depends on your ability to bridge between the needs of the organisation and the best supply solution for Novo Nordisk. This position will offer you a unique opportunity to work in close collaboration with key stakeholders from industry leading companies as well as with the global organisation of Novo Nordisk. As our suppliers and sites are placed around the world, you should expect travel activities of up to 30-40 days per year. Qualifications You hold a degree as M.Sc. or MBA in Supply Chain Management or business administration. You have a minimum 5 years of experience from working with strategic sourcing – preferably in a large international company with a proven performance track record. You know how to develop long-term sourcing strategies that set the direction and guidance for how to act and prioritise daily work related to your category. A good understanding of the printed packaging materials industry would be an advantage. As a person, you are confident with navigating in complex and dynamic organisations and are able to impact decision-making through clear recommendations based on solid analyses. You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. As the job requires you to create a broad range of contacts in Novo Nordisk as well as with suppliers worldwide you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are familiar with developing sourcing strategies, you are an experienced negotiator and you hold strong analytical skills and solid understanding of numbers. Additionally, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work – also when the pressure is on. Lastly, you are fluent in both verbal and written English.
