Department Global Sourcing is responsible for managing Vestas spend with external suppliers world-wide. As part of the turnaround of Vestas, we have established a dedicated team of internal consultants to work with the line organization to implement cost out opportunities and build capabilities within the global category management teams. Do you possess a global mindset and a positive "can-do" attitude towards challenges? Responsibilities Working closely with Vice Presidents of Sourcing and global category teams , the Senior Consultant will lead the identification, prioritization and implementation of cost out opportunities. With a total cost mindset you will be a change agent focusing on building capabilities within the organization through the development of category strategies and the establishment of professional purchasing processes. More specifically, the Senior Consultant will: •Assist Category Managers/teams in profiling categories, reviewing spend and identifying opportunities for total cost reduction; •Support and facilitate opportunity assessment and prioritization with a total cost approach; •Co-lead initiatives with category team members to secure successful implementation; •Manage project plans and follow up on business performance, conducting regular reviews with Category Managers; •Secure a professional and fact-based approach to supplier negotiations; •Be a change agent and secure capability building through sparring, coaching, engaging with key stakeholders and the implementation of professional purchasing processes. Qualifications We are looking for an ambitious and experienced procurement/sourcing profile with a proven track record within an international organization. You have worked within an industrial company or a consulting firm dealing with complex and diversified procurement/sourcing assignments for at least 5-10 years within supply chain. You will be able to drive a number of key initiatives in parallel. Furthermore, we are looking for a profile with a: •Ms.sc. Degree (or equivalent) in SCM, Engineering or Economics •“Total cost of ownership mindset” •Strong analytical, structured and fact based approach •Persistent, hardworking and process oriented track record •Strong business & commercial expertise and excellent project management, negotiation and interpersonal skillset.
