Senior Credit Risk Model Analyst within Group Credit Risk Models

Are you ready to face and drive challenging business developments and data requirements in the credit risk models area? As a Senior Credit Risk Model Analyst you will be responsible for driving the developments and data management of the risk parameters’ database with the challenging target of providing accurate and high quality data for developing and validating credit risk models. The position we offer You will be part of a small but very active team responsible for the risk parameters data. This data is the main source for the credit risk models that other teams develops and validate according to the IRB approach. Your main responsibility will be: •Handling the required developments and its requirements •Handling the quality, sanity check, testing and monitoring of the risk parameters data •Coordinate, plan and drive the required development activities •Coordinate, plan and drive the required data management activities Being an expert in business development, change managements, data and defect management are not the only success criteria in this position. Being a team player with excellent communication skills and ambition of “making it possible” are hard requirements too. You will: •Work cross-functionally across Business, Risk, Finance and IT to obtain and derive results •Act as speaking partner and advice business areas with regards to some specific credit risk model related issues, in order to enable business in a prudent way and ensure no surprises •Contribute to accuracy and high quality in deliveries and solutions to ensure operational efficiency •Independently perform and drive operational and maintenance tasks, as well as minor improvements to ensure high quality results and timely deliveries according to targets •Participate in major improvements and development tasks, in order to support own unit to add value and deliver according to targets •Maintain and develop own personal professional skills with active measures, in order to enable a continuing strengthening of own competencies to support Nordea strategies •Proactively share own credit risk competencies, both on a cross unit and cross border basis, in order to enable a continuing strengthening of competencies •Act as a contact to stakeholders and collaborators in order to provide them with accurate and value adding advice and to obtain necessary information •Interact professionally with business areas to contribute to cooperation and a good image of Group Credit Risk Models. •You are positive thinker, realistic and treat any challenge with an open mind. Having a clear understanding and full respect for different cultures is a big advantage as we are working with many teams cross borders and overseas. The qualifications you need We are seeking a high-performing individual with the following qualifications: •A minimum of 5+ years’ experience from working within Basel II/III or Parameter Estimation solutions is a must have requirement •Academic degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering or computer sciences •Superior knowledge of analytical tools such as SQL and SAS programming •Superior knowledge of HP Quality Center/Application Lifecycle Management •Proficiency in English •Team spirit •Interest to learn and develop in the credit risk modeling area •Having good knowledge of Nordea internal processes is an advantage The candidate is preferably located in Stockholm otherwise Copenhagen or Helsinki and will work in modern activity-based (free-seating) office.
