Join us in taking our API production to the next level with science and data based optimisations

If you bring scientific knowledge about crystallisations as well as experience from working with large-scale API crystallisation, and you are looking for an opportunity to make an impact far beyond the average, this is it! You will join LEO Pharma in the most exciting period of time. We have set out to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner. To succeed, massive investments are taking place including in our API production facilities. This is combined with an immense focus on strengthening our science, technological and data analytic capabilities. Now, we need you to help us take the next leap forward.

 

Driver of improvement projects in API Fucidin®

Your overall objective is to optimise the output from our API production via implementation of new knowledge, new technology and better processes. Our ambition is to increase quantities as well as quality and our primary lever is data and science. As such, you will be a key player in generating new data and knowledge from both laboratory and production and turn it into tangible optimisations of processes. You will especially focus on crystallization activities related to API Fucidin® production.. In overview, your primary tasks will be to:

• Be scientific lead of Fucidin® crystallisations
• Identify opportunities to improve output and increase robustness of processes
• Plan and execute laboratory experiments in collaboration with the technicians in the department in our new highly equipped laboratory
• Collect and analyse process data including modelling with multiple linear regression or multivariate methods
• Lead tests of new technology (including Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and participate in implementation in production)
• Provide scientific and technological expertise to support commercial production activities as well as engineering projects
• Assist in handling deviations and investigations as subject-matter expert

 

Scientific knowledge and production related experience within crystallisation 

Preferably, you hold a PhD in crystllisation, chemistry or equivalent. This is backed by at least five years experience from working with optimisation of crystallisations in a large-scale API production. You have experience with DoE and modelling. If you have knowledge within Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and related implementation as well, it is an advantage but not a prerequisite for applying.

You are a true executer known for your ability to make decisions and move things forward. You simply like to coordinate, and you have the positive, open-minded approach and good communication skills. Equally important is it that you thrive in an environment with multiple deadlines and various collaborations to handle.

You will join 14 good and highly competent colleagues at LEO Pharma's headquarters in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen. Our focus is to constantly increase productivity and quality in LEO Pharma’s business critical API production. We focus especially within optimisation of processes and we work across fermentation, recovery and purification of Fucidin® and Calcipotriol synthesis.
