Senior Data scientist to develop advanced quality analytics

Are you motivated by the opportunity to be part of a new ambitious team, to develop and drive sophisticated strategic analytics and digitalisation projects across our global organisation? 

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can understand complex business problems and design analytical models, from data extraction to product creation. You will interact with many stakeholders at different levels.

 

About the department
A new unit has been established to drive digital quality transformation in Novo Nordisk Quality. This includes setting the standards for data management of our Quality data and utilising advanced analytical models and statistics. 

The unit will be exploring digital solutions by identifying, developing and driving new digital initiatives within quality owned processes and the Quality organisation for the benefit of the entire business. The goal is to deliver projects very fast because of our agile setup.

 

The position
Your main responsibility will be to explore new ways to uncover insights from large corporate datasets by employing data science techniques like machine-learning, data and text mining. You will fully own your solutions and will also collaborate with other data scientists in the team, in an environment that fosters innovation and creative thinking. You will be expected to take the role as project manager for the data science part of projects as well as setting direction and deliver results within own field of expertise. 

You will also be a part of ensuring that we have the right data structure and data management setup of our quality data. 

You must identify and share better practice, increase awareness of data management and programming standards and validation and create improvements in methods, techniques, approaches etc., for optimizing the way we work and strive for simplicity across the quality organisation.

 

Qualifications
You have experience in a statistical and/or data science role with knowledge of machine learning, statistics and optimization. You hold a Master’s degree or PhD within IT, software engineering, statistics, mathematics, data science or other related fields. 

Experience with

• Python, R, Alterix, data structures, algorithms and statistics
• data visualization tools for processing and presenting data to internal and external stakeholders, e.g. OMOP, Tableau, dashboards or other relevant software/tools 
• Presenting and reporting insights to senior management

 

You have a strong analytical mind-set, a clear flair for numbers and details and you can work independently as well as collaborate effectively with colleagues. You are proactive, dynamic, curious, and a quick-learner.

You easily navigate in the intersection between data, processes and projects and have a proven track record of your modelling skills resulting in process optimisation. 

Fluency in spoken and written English is expected.
