The DTU Wind Energy Department at the Technical University of Denmark has a vacancy for a senior development engineer in the Test & Measurements research section. The group specializes in experimental research and development of measurement techniques within the field of wind energy. We focus on sensor technology, development of measurement systems and methods, remote sensing with LIDARs and wind turbine experiments. Also we operate eight full scale prototype wind turbine test stands. This position is primarily to assist in the research concerning wind measurements for wind resource assessment and power performance verification. Using new lidar technology is an important part of this research, for example as in the UniTTe.dk project. Job description •Planning and execution of wind and wind turbine measurement campaigns •Performing quality control, data analysis and reporting •Participation in writing applications and quotations •Project management •Participation in international standards committees •Planning and execution of wind resource measurement campaigns in developing countries •Disseminating our work both through teaching and conference presentations. Qualifications •Master degree in an engineering discipline or physics •At least 6 years’ experience of wind measurements and resource assessment •Ability to solve problems in the field •Knowledge of data acquisition and database techniques •Good analytical approach and self-leadership skills •Experience of using MatLab and Excel with databases •Good communication skills in English •A good team spirit and sense of humour We offer We offer an exciting and challenging job in a world-leading and highly international environment.
