Job Description
Do you have the drive and experience to create innovative mechanical designs and be a major contributor to new product development? Then you could be our new Senior Development Engineer at Danfoss Industrial Automation. Our business is characterised by a high growth rate driven by innovative solutions. You will join the Development & Reliability department, which is a highly specialised team where you will attain your own areas of responsibility, which covers development of pressure and temperature sensors for applications ranging from small hydraulic systems to large two-stroke engines.
Dedicated engineer delivering innovative mechanical design
Your primary focus is to develop innovative mechanical designs from concepts to release using structured tools. You are motivated by delivering solid results according to plan, in due time and of high quality. You will be working closely with the other members of your team, in a cross-functional and international environment and you will benefit from a strong network of contacts within Danfoss as well as externally with suppliers and customers. Other important key tasks are:
- Mechanical design of pressure and temperature sensors for various industrial applications, from concept to release
- Release of products, including validation/verification testing and reporting
- Use a structured product development process
- Well documented development including calculations, simulations, stress analysis etc.
- Design for assembly with focus on cost and quality
- Concept selection using fast prototyping, 3D printing etc.
Senior engineer with a proactive mindset and experience with mechanical design
You hold a BA in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics and have the tools to drive innovation from idea to product launch. You have several years of practical experience with industrial product development, and knowledge within electronics will be an advantage but not a requirement. You have a strong drive and therefore you know how to deliver results on time, within budget range and at the desired quality. You work persistently to achieve your goals, and you have a natural ability to develop solid relations with internal and external partners. You are customer oriented and have a global mindset, and it motivates you to make a difference through innovation. Finally, you are fluent in written and spoken English.
