Senior Director - Global Commercial Building Services

Can you influence our digital agenda? Then join the Building Services segment, which consists of the Commercial Building Services Segment (CBS) and the Domestic Building Services Segment (DBS). The difference is primarily their focus on commercial buildings and private housing respectively. The CBS segment, which you will manage, is a newly established, global team of 10 colleagues, working on the strategic perspective of how to develop and manage our product portfolio in the market - both short term and long term. With report to Senior Vice President Bent Jensen, you will also be part of a management team for the Building Services Segment consisting of yourself, The Senior Director for DBS and the Senior Director for Programme Management. What is the job about? While you will not have the full P&L responsibility for the products in the CBS segment, you will be responsible for driving the customer focused business performance in close collaboration with the Grundfos regional sales organisations on a global scale. These organisations constitute the core matrix of Grundfos, making you accountable for a significant part of the business where Grundfos must maintain product leadership. The CBS segment is very product driven and the majority of customers are in the distributor channel or wholesalers, contractors, consulting engineers, installers and commercial building owners. Working closely with Programme Management, you and your team will be responsible for harvesting commercial and organisational synergies. As such, you are responsible for coordinating and driving business development, product innovation priorities (pull vs. push), and Strategy 2020 deployment - especially in relation to our new digital agenda. You do so through collaborationwith the global organisation as well as by taking leadership responsibility for developing the segment team. Senior Vice President Bent Jensen explains: “You will be dealing with highly competent and knowledgeable colleagues - a set of strong individuals who express their opinions and challenge each other and you. Your challenge will be to maneuver in this group as well as a matrix organisation while being a key person in nurturing the interface to our different regions.” What do you need to apply? Ideally, you hold a Master degree as well as an MBA and have solid experience from international industrial business development, marketing or sales and product management. This is combined with an industry background, preferably from building systems/services or experience from other industrial/technological organisations with complex product- and systems portfolios. Most importantly, you are an excellent relationship builder who understands how a matrix organisation works and who can navigate and operate in a role bridging products, operations and markets. On a personal level, you are a strong leader who can set the direction towards our 2020 strategy while building high performance teams. You know how to play a key role in the overall Business Development team and you have the ability to continuously evaluate your team and ensure the right structure and competencies are in place. Finally, you have a global perspective on your work based on previous international experience.
