This position as Senior Electrical/Automation Engineer is based in the Electrical and Automation systems section, part of Technical Organization in Maersk Drilling. The section is responsible for ensuring engineering support to Operations and the Commercial Department, supporting modification projects and handling projects on the operational rigs as well as the ones’ under construction. Key Responsibilities As Senior Electrical/Automation Engineer you will be responsible for managing your own projects, working closely with our team of engineers to ensure that quality and progress targets are met. General ad hoc technical support is also part of the responsibilities. You will e.g. be handling SCADA/PLC Systems including HMI’s (hardware and software). You will work with performance requirements, functional design and software requirement specifications, validation of functionality (incl. testing) and FME(C)A’s. Optimally you have insights into general electrical systems incl. power supply (HV/LV), switchboard, motors, generators incl. control etc. You will be managing engineering consultancies and suppliers working on your projects. You will facilitate and participate in international project and further you are expected to contribute with in-depth technical knowledge on larger projects. Who we are looking for The candidate has a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and: • Has a minimum of six years of experience working with e.g. Industrial Control (SCADA) and Safety Systems (incl. Fire and Gas systems). • Is strongly result-oriented, capable of working independently as well as in teams and has a logical approach to problem solving. • Is fluent in written and spoken English. • Has practical field installation and commissioning experience working in remote locations. To apply for this position, you must hold a valid Danish work- and residence permit. You need to be willing and able to travel worldwide a lot, also with short notice. The position includes trips to offshore drilling rigs worldwide to carry out troubleshooting, surveys, supervise or to plan project execution and similar tasks. It may also include participating in yard stays throughout the world, which you will be additionally compensated for.
