You bring life to the LEGO Brick As Senior Engineer, you will have a broad area of influence and exposure as well as the opportunity to create play experiences that can be found on shop shelves for many years to come. You will join a Mechanics team of 16, who produce LEGO Components with built-in mechanical and electronic functions for new product development - from early ideation to production. As Senior Engineer, you participate in project teams, designing components, mentoring young designers, sharing knowledge and leading technical developments while empowering and motivating the team. Your role includes: Participating in the end-to-end product design process and driving the development of components Proactive stakeholder management and establishing partnerships with external partners such as design houses, universities, suppliers, etc. Investigating and applying new materials and alternative technologies to meet design requirements Prototyping and creating mock-ups of components for early validation of business opportunities Owning the process of conceptualisation, design and validation of technology components and delivering a product ready for mass production Everyday creativity You will join a company where we invite you to think both logically and creatively in everything you do. Experienced technical designer with focus on customer needs In this position, you will be challenged on your ability to successfully combine quality, price, technology and world-class play experience in products. To be a success, you must have excellent stakeholder management skills and enjoy achieving goals in a team environment. And you put your creative, curious and inventive mindset into play while translating customer needs into functional design solutions. In addition, you: Have experience with assembly and high volume manufacturing and material selection, preferably within the Asian supply chain Have a degree in Engineering and experience in manufacturing and assembly, SIX Sigma, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, process design or any related filed Have a technical designer degree with strong experience in construction and CAD design as well as proven skills in 3D drafting and construction, while skills in designing with CAE tools is a plus Have a proven track record of successfully mentoring young designers and technical coordination or managing projects across functions Communicate effortlessly in English, and as you will be travelling to Asia, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus as is knowledge of Asian culture and business etiquette Join the global family of LEGO In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you will collaborate across the LEGO Organisation.
