Copenhagen Local/Expat Engineering/Technical Ref.: MO-046644 Maersk Oil is looking for a Lead Process/Facilities Engineer for the Corporate Engineering and Projects department (CEP) at Maersk Oil head office in Copenhagen We Offer The work will involve field development work in a team that shall consist of 5 to 6 Petroleum Engineers and Facilities Engineers and forms part of the larger Qatar Field Development Team in Corporate Production Development department (CPD). The team objective is to co-ordinate Field Development Plans for the Al Shaheen Field in Qatar. The position would suit an individual from a Process or Facilities engineering background with a sufficiently broad range of skills to produce robust surface development inputs for concepts, which are robust to subsurface and other uncertainties. The successful candidate will be working in the Qatar Field Development group within Corporate Production and Development (CPD). The work location is Copenhagen with occasional travel to other countries as necessary for the position. Key Responsibilities •Formulate and maintain a bigger picture view of ALS surface facility capabilities and future requirements •Proactively identify and evaluate future development requirements by liaising with Subsurface teams, Business units Engineering & Projects, Drilling, and Production Operations departments •Identify and scope studies that have an output that adds value to the field development •Drive studies, with the involvement of external parties as required, to evaluate identified issues and future development options •Liaise with the subsurface engineers and the reservoir study teams to ensure that robust forecasts are produced for all reservoirs are based on up-to-date facilities performance information, which capture the range of uncertainties. •Work closely with MOQ to produce input to development concepts covering well and facilities designs for the various development opportunities. Establish bottlenecks in the current production system and ullage profiles going forward. •Establish a Basis of Design for the surface facilities and ensure that this is updated to reflect changes in the underlying data in a timely manner. •Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry technologies that may be applicable to future facility modifications •Provide input to the production of CAPEX and OPEX estimates for facilities and wells, based on establishing suitable cost building blocks and agreed costing methodology. •Provide input to the production of project schedules for the various development opportunities and integrate into one overall project schedule. •Provide input to project risk via a risk register including HSE risks (via HAZID, HAZOP, etc as applicable) •Interface with MOQ E&P, production operations, drilling and Marine departments to establish field and plant layouts, and a Project Operations Philosophy in line with longer term development plans for the field. •Interface with the long term planning team to ensure that field development plans fit within long term field development strategy. •Preparation of input to presentations for internal review gates and workshops. Who we are looking for •Prior experience of, and desire to work within, a multidisciplinary environment. •Recognised degree in Chemical, Process or Facilities Engineering with at least 10-15 years of experience in oil and gas industry upstream projects •Strong knowledge of conceptual design / field development including budget and schedule estimation and installation implications •Awareness of CAPEX and OPEX estimation techniques as well as economic analysis. •Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of offshore process and utility system design •Experience in process simulation (HYSYS) and equipment sizing •Demonstrated experience at a responsible level in multidiscipline design reviews (layout reviews, HAZOP, etc) •Experience in engineering management at area lead, lead e
