We are looking for a senior IMT engineer for our office in Copenhagen to support our continued growth and development within design of immersed tube tunnels. Our current tunnel projects include the tunnel design for the world's longest immersed tube tunnel across the Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link between Denmark and Germany, preliminary design and preparation of tender documents for an extension of the Copenhagen metro to Nordhavn and a number of other projects in Denmark and internationally. Driven by a high level of ambition and a good understanding of the specific needs and requirements of individual projects, our goal is to provide internationally competitive consultancy services in close cooperation with our clients and with our colleagues in the Ramboll Group. You will be a part of Ramboll’s tunnelling teams. The teams work worldwide and their expertise encompasses all types of tunnels in all manner of ground conditions, ranging from road tunnels in the hard rock of Norway, to settlement assessments for the new Cross rail metro in London, from a 120 km long water tunnel in Finland to the Øresund immersed tube tunnel between Sweden and Denmark. Job description As a senior IMT engineer, your main responsibilities will include: . Geotechnical and structural engineering analysis, evaluation and design . Leading development and innovation within the tunnels group . Project management . Supervision and inspiration of our less experienced engineers . Client liaison and participation in Ramboll's business development initiatives within the tunnels group . We expect you to set high standards for the consultancy services we provide for our clients and business partners. Your qualifications We expect you to have a strong technical background within geotechnical or structural engineering. You should have a creative personality and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. As our ideal candidate you are a team player and have: . Experience with design of Immersed Tube tunnels . Proven project management skills on major, multi-disciplinary projects . Proven commercial skills, ability to establish and retain long term client relations . A pro-active and energetic approach . The position as senior IMT engineer will require networking across the Ramboll organization and good abilities for cooperation and communication is thus a prerequisite.
