Can you drive and influence a change of culture and ensure focus on process excellence? Join us as Senior Improvement Specialist in our Operations Process Excellence department which, amongst other things, is responsible for supporting the Operations area of the business to have its processes described and documented. Our goal is to enable the business to achieve its goals faster and more efficiently. Operations Process Excellence is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. We are ideally looking for someone to be based at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia; however, for the right candidate, there is also the possibility for you to be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. You can expect extensive travelling in relation to your work of about two or three days every other week to locations and sites in Northern Europe. Areas of responsibility As a Senior Improvement Specialist, you drive and influence a change of culture within the organisation, enabling it to become more focused on processes. You build a network in the business and influence key stakeholders in order to move the business towards becoming a pro-active continuously improving organisation. You report to the Head of Operations Process Excellence in a small team with no direct reports. Moreover, you support the process owners to enable them to take responsibility for their own processes and process improvement and facilitate workshops with them. It is expected that you utilise continuous improvement methodologies and tools, such as Lean and Six Sigma, and introduce these gradually as the organisation matures and is ready for them. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: be a champion of change and employ change management tools drive process improvements and process awareness across Wind Power Operations, including training on our quality management system, QUBE be a super user of QUBE and a compliance reviewer of the content in QUBE where you ensure sustainability of our process landscape influence many stakeholders at all levels within the organisation. Your profile You have a relevant educational background and proven experience from a process improvement role in a change environment. Experience within an operational environment would be advantageous. You have a clear understanding of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma, and very strong analytical skills. Ideally, you would also have project management qualifications, such as PRINCE2. In addition, you are fully efficient in MS Office and preferably also Visio. Previous use of SAP is also preferred. Moreover, you have prior experience in eliciting information from employees at all levels and translating this into meaningful processes. As we operate in an international environment with a wide variety of stakeholders, it is crucial that you have excellent communication skills as well as a high level of written and spoken English. You have the ability to build relationships and influence all levels of the business. It is essential that you can demonstrate good interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to adapt to working within rapidly changing teams where resources are scarce. In addition, you demonstrate the ability to communicate and reach agreement through flexibility and compromise within a multi-cultural organisation.
