Your future responsibilities

Technology Risk Management (TRM) is a unit within group BRIS (Business Risk Implementation and Support) acting as a competence centre for Technology (IT and Information security) risk management providing risk management capabilities and services to supported areas. TRM orchestrate, implement and coordinates initiatives to align and augment the IT Risk and Compliance activities in a structured way through proactive remediation and issue management. Our main responsibilities cover’s IT risk advisory, awareness training, IT risk management, management of internal controls for IT processes, issue management in IT and quality assurance.   

As an Senior IT Risk and Compliance Advisor in TRM, you will assist in the development and execution of strategic, tactical and operational non-financial risk and internal control activities. You will work in the 1st line of defence and help to drive initiatives to increase IT risk awareness and ensure prudent risk management.   

Examples of what you’ll be doing: 

• Supporting the consolidated reporting and preparation for relevant decision forum and committees for information security and IT risks  
• Lead and participate in risk assessment, risk and process control and mitigation activities, supporting and guiding the division in keeping a comprehensive end-to-end risk process overview  
• Incident reporting process of the division, ensuring quality reporting and performing analysis of the incidents to fuel learning  
• Support quality assurance and that 3rd party risk and external data centers are handled in accordance with internal guidelines throughout their lifecycle  
• Creating and delivering cyclical aggregated reports informing management on a full range of value added nonfinancial risk metrics including assessment and analysis of controls, mitigation, key risk indicators and risk appetite, creating transparency in our risk processes  
• Supporting the development of common best practice tools, processes, and process controls, performing risk management training and generating new inspirational approaches to deliver on building a strong risk management culture in Nordea  

The role is based in Copenhagen. You will be part of a new team passionate about providing IT risk solutions through business and technological insight.

Your background:   

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply them to risk, key risk reporting, analytics, and control designs  
• People and stakeholder management skills to provide partnership and commercial insight with divisional teams, while aligning with fellow BRIS teams and the 2nd LoD  
• Some experience working in IT risk management, audit or compliance  
• Some knowledge of IT capability, IT processes and ITIL best practice  
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, as well as capability to build networks with both internal and external stakeholders  
• Fluency in written and spoken English  
• Formal certifications in CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, ITIL, COBIT or similar will be considered as an advantage, as well as knowledge or practical experience with ISO 27001/2 (or similar ISMS)
