Capital Markets is the investment banking unit in Nordea. You will be part of the IT department, who delivers IT services for the Middle Office. The services we provide are Capital Markets Accounting, Liquidity Risk systems; and reporting platforms for Profit & Loss, Financial Reporting, and Regulatory Reporting. Our systems are under massive transformation. You will be a part of a development team, which is responsible for (re) designing and developing the next generation Capital Markets Middle Office IT solutions including Liquidity management and measuring systems, sub ledger accounting, statutory reporting and controlling frameworks. You will be part of an empowered and strong development team building up services and systems using Java and industry standard tools and methodologies. Solid Java competencies and team player We are looking for a dedicated senior Java developer. To be successful in this role we expect: •At least 3 years of experience working with modern Java frameworks and open source tools as well as methodologies •At least 6 years of experience in software development •Fluency in oral and written English is a prerequisite •A master’s degree in engineering, computer science or have other relevant background •Experience in building back office systems that handles large amounts of data and interfaces with multiple other systems reliably •If you do not already have good capital markets domain knowledge, you will be required to acquire that within reasonable time. You are at home in the core Java framework, Maven, Spring, Databases, SOA, Tomcat/Weblogic, Eclipse/IntelliJ, unit testing, distributed version control etc. Furthermore you do have a provable track record on building java server applications of high quality in terms of: maintainability, supportability, correctness, testability, scalability, adaptability, security and performance. You will be working in a team with other Java developers and we expect you to be both a great team player but also to take individual responsibility for your work.
