CopenhagenLocal / International Engineering / Technical Ref.: MO-062422 Maersk Oil is looking for an experienced Process/Facilities Engineer specialist for the department of GPD (Global Production Development) at its head office in Copenhagen. GPD is responsible for field development planning and Business Development support to strengthen Maersk Oil’s global portfolio. Currently operated and producing fields are in the North Sea, Qatar, Brazil, Algeria, Kurdistan and Kazakhstan, with business development activity and other interests around the globe. We Offer The working location is Copenhagen with occasional travel to other locations as necessary for the job. The job title will be Senior or Lead Facilities Engineer, depending on the successful candidate’s level of experience. The position provides the opportunity to be part of a high performing, technical ambitious and cultural diverse working environment. Project teams in GPD are cross-disciplinary, consisting of geoscientists, reservoir engineers and conceptual engineers. Some projects teams are fully co-located, while others are geographically distributed and therefore include a virtual team component. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a highly varied portfolio of technical challenges covering the spectrum from tight and structurally complex, fractured carbonates, to high permeability deep water and shallow marine siliciclastic reservoirs. The position will provide extensive exposure to new technology and workflows, as well as, continuous opportunities for learning and development with respect to effective stakeholder and partner involvement. Key Responsibilities The Senior Process/Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the following: •Formulate and maintain a bigger picture view of Surface facility capabilities and future requirements •Proactively identify and evaluate future development requirements by liaising with Subsurface teams, Business units Engineering & Projects, Drilling, and Production Operations departments •Identify and scope studies that have an output that adds value to the field development •Drive studies, with the involvement of external parties as required, to evaluate identified issues and future development options •Liaise with the subsurface engineers and the reservoir study teams to ensure that robust forecasts are produced for all reservoirs are based on up-to-date facilities performance information, which capture the range of uncertainties. •Work closely with appropriate BU’s to produce input to development concepts covering well and facilities designs for the various development opportunities. Establish bottlenecks in the current production system and ullage profiles going forward. •Establish a Basis of Design for the surface facilities and ensure that this is updated to reflect changes in the underlying data in a timely manner. •Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry technologies that may be applicable to future facility modifications •Provide input to the production of CAPEX and OPEX estimates for facilities and wells, based on establishing suitable cost building blocks and agreed costing methodology. •Provide input to the production of project schedules for the various development opportunities and integrate into one overall project schedule. •Provide input to project risk via a risk register including HSE risks (via HAZID, HAZOP, etc. as applicable) •Interface with appropriate E&P, production operations, drilling and Marine departments to establish field and plant layouts, and a Project Operations Philosophy in line with longer term development plans for the field. •Interface with the long term planning team to ensure that field development plans fit within long term field development strategy. • Potential for assignment to short term project teams evaluating business development opportunities •Preparation of input to presentations for internal review gates a
