Join us and become Senior Lead Specialist in Project Assessment which is responsible for assessing future wind farm projects and assisting in developing these to a level where a regular project organisation is created. The department is involved in many technical and commercial aspects of the wind farm development and, accordingly, consists of highly experienced employees. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1,600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Senior Lead Specialist you will be responsible for providing project specialist support and be the link to our engineering specialists. The support is mainly focused on topics to be taken into account during the project development phase and assisting in the evaluation of potential new projects. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •support the choice of concept for future wind farms •assist in the development of a systematic approach to assessing projects •review project business cases •participate in due diligence activities •ensure technical alignment across projects. Your profile You hold an MSc in engineering and have profound experience with offshore wind, preferably with a background in one or more technical areas. Furthermore, you have insight into the commercial side of a wind farm project. It is important that you can consider several technical solutions at the same time and understand the impact these will have on the entire wind farm project. You should be able to assess and challenge suggested technical solutions both in relation to colleagues and outside of the company. You exhibit strong collaborative skills and can both challenge and work with colleagues with different backgrounds. You are also able to assess technical solutions both on a general level and in more detail. In addition, you have the ability to look ahead and foresee how to apply the solutions of the future.
