The job

Based at the LEO Pharma headquarters in Ballerup, greater Copenhagen, you will be heading an international group of QA professionals located in Denmark and Ireland – with more countries to follow. The foundation of the department has been laid and now it is time to bring it to the next level.

In overview your primary responsibilities will be to:

• Lead, inspire, coach and develop 12 quality professionals
• Drive the further development and optimisation of the department
• Ensure relevant processes are in compliance with new legislation and follow industry standards
• Ensure Quality partnering and proactive collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders
• Support the business at Regulatory inspections and partner audits 

You will work across the global organisation and be in contact with numerous people in multiple departments and functions. As part of this, you can also expect minimum 10 travel days per year to meet employees, colleagues and partners.

The job has reference to the Director of External & Support Quality.

About the department

You will be heading External Manufacturing & Suppliers Quality which is one of three departments in the function External & Support Quality. The department is globally responsible for the quality oversight of the activities provided by external manufacturers as well as suppliers of materials and services within GMP and GDP – covering from R&D to commercial. Furthermore, the department provides quality expertise to our stakeholders in LEO and maintains and improves the LEO Quality Management System.

You will be joining a skilled and dedicated team in an informal work environment where everyone is heard.

Your qualifications

You have a Master’s degree and at least 5 years’ experience from working with quality in a GxP regulated work environment, preferably in the pharma industry. This has provided you with a good business understanding and the ability to define risk as it relates to specific non-conformances or trends and work with colleagues to mitigate the identified risks.

Additionally, you can assess the state of current business and Quality operations to identify and recommend improvements, and you can create action plans and follow through.

You have a at least 5 years’ experience as a manager with a proven track record of great results. You simply love to see your team shine and you can generate a common will to win as a team. Across your tasks your will need all of your good communications skills including your ability to adjust your messages to fit the audience at hand.

Additionally, you must have strong English skills, in speech and writing.
