Play a vital role in the success of our product development. In this role, you bring together Marketing's design ideas, technology driven innovation and operation as you help drive a new technology agenda and establish the external networks we need in order to stay at the forefront of technological innovations Motivate your team and ensure innovation You will be based in Billund and join the Technical Element Design Novelty Department (TED Novelty) which serves as the connective link between Markets & Products and Operations. We design and make sure the novelty elements strike the right balance between innovation, price, complexity and lead time. As Senior Manager, you lead a team of approximately 10 technical novelty designers working with front end development. This entails: Motivating and engaging the team, serving as the innovative playmaker while facilitating collaboration in a matrix organisation where your team members will be involved in several projects. Ensuring that TED bridges gaps between innovation and operation. As such, you enable technology driven innovation while staying in tune with costumer needs and finding tangible, operational solutions. Establishing relevant networks with other companies as well as universities to ensure that the business area and your team stay at the forefront of new trends and technical solutions. Help carrying out the long-term strategy for TED Novelty. As part of this, you serve as a value adding member of the 8 person TED Novelty Leadership Team that carries the responsibility of the full portfolio of novelty elements in the LEGO Group Mutual value creation You fully embrace the LEGO Values, as we always succeed by combining our strengths. With your excellent networking and motivational skills, you help your team and other colleagues perform, as well as ensuring continuously growth of our core business. Skilled motivator with product development insight You could have an MSc degree or a background as an Engineer or similar - combined with several years of experience with project management, people management and/or working closely with senior management in a consulting role. But most importantly, you have a natural interest in both leading people as well as the business, and people management is what drives you. You have a proven track record and well documented results. You look forward to the opportunity to develop as a people manager, and you have a good understanding of the processes and challenges of creative product development environments.
