Copenhagen Engineering/Technical Ref.: MO-042752 Maersk Oil is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Corporate Facilities and Projects Department in Maersk Oil, Copenhagen. We Offer The Corporate Facilities and Projects department is responsible for ensuring the development across Maersk Oil’s Business Units of safe, environmentally sound and operationally effective production facilities and for delivering competitive and optimized facilities concepts for development of global oil and gas projects. The department is looking to fill a position as Senior Mechanical Engineer. Key Responsibilities There will be two main areas of responsibilities Functional and Project related where the successful candidate will support the Chief Mechanical Engineer: Functional responsibilities: • Provide leadership and direction to the companywide mechanical systems engineering community. • Participate in maintaining, with the discipline community, the corporate standards and guidelines that provide a basis for assuring the technical quality of deliverables. • Ensuring high technical quality and value delivery across new and existing BU facilities, by development and application of quality management and control capabilities in coordination with Discipline Area Heads for F&P and Production Operations, Project Managers, Discipline Chiefs and Technical Authorities • Identify discipline training requirements and development options. • Foster cross-fertilization and workflow integration between the various facilities and sub-surface disciplines. • Identify the key technologies and applications thereof Maersk Oil will require in the future, and support their development and implementation. Who we are looking for Qualifications and Profile of Candidate • BSc or MSc in relevant engineering discipline, with up to date knowledge and experience in oil and gas mechanical rotating and static systems engineering and 10+ years of relevant upstream oil and gas experience. Subsea mechanical equipment experience is considered an advantage, but not a requirement. • Demonstrated strong process safety leadership. • Competent in integrated team work for the front-end, design, project and production phases. • Demonstrated experience and interest in the development and mentoring of discipline staff. • A broad understanding of the EP business, preferably in 2 or more regions. • Interest in novel/innovative technology development and implementation. • Ability to effectively represent Maersk Oil externally. • Good communication and social skills, effective across a broad spectrum of nationalities and cultures.
