Would you like to be close to the decision-making processes in DONG Energy and take part in executing interesting and high profiled M&A transactions in a challenging environment? Join us and become Senior M&A Specialist in Group M&A. We are part of Group M&A and Financial Planning & Analysis in Group Finance and responsible for identifying and executing M&A transactions within DONG Energy with close cooperation with the business units involved. The team is overall responsible for all aspects of M&A transactions from beginning to end. We work closely with leading investment banks, law firms, auditors and tax advisors. The department is part of our Group functions, which cover Group Support, Group Finance & Services and Group IT. In Group Finance & Services, we focus our efforts on supporting the entire business and ensuring that the company works as a professional, reliable and responsible company. You will be based at our office in Gentofte. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work, mainly in Northern Europe. Areas of responsibility As a Senior M&A Specialist, you take a leading role in scoping and executing M&A transactions with end-to-end responsibility. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •coordinate all transaction work with colleagues and external advisors •build and manage discounted cash flow valuation models for on-going and potential M&A cases participate in deal/tax structuring of transactions •participate in negotiations of transactions with counterparties •prepare decision material for executive management and the Board of Directors. Your profile You have a few years of relevant experience within corporate finance from a top tier investment bank, consulting firm, private equity house, corporate finance department or similar. Infrastructure experience would be considered an advantage, but is not a prerequisite. You have a master in economics corresponding to the Danish degrees cand.merc., cand.oecon. or cand.polit. or similar and a strong academic track record. Further, you have sound knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and you write and speak Danish and English fluently. On a personal level, you are performance driven and not afraid to take initiatives. You do not hesitate to challenge consensus, you have a strong analytical mind-set, and you are not put off by complexity. Being a strong communicator with a sense for details will be very valuable in your daily work. Finally, you show flexibility, as your work load may become intense during busy periods.
