Senior Network Engineer

Are you looking for a job where you will be challenged to apply your skills and experience working with and developing a global corporate network environment? As a Senior Network Engineer in FLSmidth, you will be part of the Global Infrastructure Architecture and Standards team focusing on supporting the digital initiatives and requirements from the business by building, maintaining and improving the global Infrastructure.

 

About the team

The team is placed in Copenhagen and in Chennai (India), and takes care of the network in our HQ, the network on all our 80+ locations worldwide and in the global datacenters, which are physically placed in Copenhagen along with several Cloud datacenters. You’ll be working with security (firewall solutions), be handling level 3 operational support when needed, work with the Network Architect to design solutions and Network architecture (eg. SD-WAN, SD-A), managing projects and work dedicated with the network operations team based in Chennai to make sure we deliver a professional IT service.

 

More about you

Your educational background is secondary to your practical experience. Your track record reflects experience from similar positions in international companies, in which you have acquired extensive, hands-on, experience working with Infrastructure in a global perspective.

You have a structured approach in your work, you can create a project plan and work with the team to get things done to deliver on agreed time. You are a skilled problem-solver, communicator, able to communicate fluently in English talking to the team or with the business around the globe.

 

You have in-depth knowledge of and practical experience with the following:

• General Routing, especially BGP (minimum CCNP level)
• Nexus Switching
• Checkpoint FW
• Cisco ISE
• Cisco wireless solutions

 

You can foresee less than 20 travel days per year.
