Would you like to be part of developing a range of exciting projects aimed at re-cycling and changing household waste into sustainable energy and recycled materials? Join us and become Senior Process Engineer in New Bio Solutions Concepts, the department responsible for integrating scientific solutions in working plant concepts. Our ambition is to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of technology within this field. We currently operate a demonstration plant in the Copenhagen area, and are building a first of its kind full-scale plant in the UK. REnescience is one of two technologies covered under New Bio Solutions. New Bio Solutions is part of Bioenergy & Thermal Power, which is a large business unit in DONG Energy and has approximately 1000 employees. We have a significant market share within electricity and heat production in Denmark, and we have an ambitious strategy for reducing the environmental impact significantly by using eco- friendly bio fuels instead of fossil fuels. The department is part of Bioenergy & Thermal Power which has 800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We own just below half of the thermal production capacity in Denmark and are at the forefront of the development within efficient use of biomass and reduction of the environmental impact through innovative bio-refining technologies. Your place of work will be Ballerup within the Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Your key duties will be to - to play an active role in developing new concepts - document tests and trials and well as take part in selecting suppliers - perform technical troubleshooting during commissioning of our new full-scale plant and future plants - qualify new process equipment and implement novel unit operations - plan and coordinate verification activities in pilot, demo and full-scale set-ups. Furthermore, you will work out mass and energy balances and develop new measurement and control concepts. Your qualifications and core competences include that you - have a bachelor's or a master's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering or chemical engineering with extensive experience from running chemical or bio-chemical processes, hands on trouble shooting, SRO, trial and reporting - are able to demonstrate results with bringing technology from pilot scale to commercial scale - can work independently, are organised and persistent. Entrepreneurship and readiness for change is a precondition - have excellent presentation skills, enabling you to understand and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward way to your colleagues and stakeholders - speak and write English fluently. It will be an advantage if you have experience within the field of upscaling mechanical equipment used in biological processes. Consequently, it is important that you have full control of your tasks and are able to prioritise them in a structured way. Similarly, it is important that you have a systematic approach to your work and see documentation as a natural part of your job. Traveling internationally to work at project sites should be expected.
