We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our Global Procurement department. Our Global Procurement department consists of approximately 25 employees working with both strategic and operational procurement. It is a centrally managed corporate function with the majority of our staff having specific responsibilities towards one of our divisions. This position will report to the Head of Procurement. Responsibilities and tasks: You will be required to lead the Procurement function within one of our divisions, balancing the operational needs of a fast moving project based organisation, with the strategic development of the Procurement function within Semco Maritime. Your responsibility will include •Acting as the voice of Procurement within the divisional management team •Ensuring a professional and strong business focus is brought to our projects •Personnel responsibility for the procurement team members in the division •Building up strong relationships internally across different functions and externally with key suppliers •Leading Procurement activities and supplier negotiations for key projects •Working across the Procurement organisation, to continually improve the strategic and operational aspects of how we work. Professional qualifications: We imagine you possess a relevant commercial education at university level and have at least a minimum of 5 years of relevant strategic procurement experience. •Experience in the energy / offshore / oil & gas industry is an advantage, but not a requirement. •You have an understanding and experience of how to operate in a project based organisation. Your profile: You are a natural leader and you inspire those around you to maximize their performance. You are ambitious, result-oriented, a great negotiator who enjoys working in a dynamic international environment.
