Maersk Oil is looking for a Senior Production Technologist with a strong track record in Integrated Production System Modelling for the Subsurface Development Department based in our Esbjerg Office in Denmark. The Esbjerg Office manages all Maersk Oil production activities in the Danish sector of the North Sea. Approximately 350 onshore employees are working on a daily basis in the office and the working environment is international, busy, and characterized by highly skilled and motivated employees. The working language is English. We Offer The Senior Production Technologist will be a member of Well and Reservoir Management, within the Subsurface Development Department. The department consists of 5 sections, with four located in Copenhagen and one in Esbjerg. Within WRM, the Well Optimisation team comprises 14 production technologists, and constitutes the front line of the Subsurface Development Department, managing the wells on a daily basis to maximise production and providing quality well data. Daily tasks include well test validation, production and artificial lift optimisation using Petroleum Experts IPM software, barrel chasing, well prioritization, short term forecasting and hands on support to well interventions. Studies undertaken by the team range from generation of production enhancements to major rationalisations and concepts. Key Responsibilities The Senior Production Technologist (IPSM) will: Be a subject matter expert on Integrated Production System Modelling, and support the Well Optimisation team to build and maintain quality well and integrated models. Provide expert advice on Integrated Production System Modelling, reaching out to process engineers and reservoir engineers to integrate our models. Support the team on troubleshooting performance issues with production and injection wells through modelling application Assess benefits of implementation Petroleum Experts Integrated Field Manager™ (IFM) workflows into the Well Optimisation teams’ work processes, and manage the implementation Coach members of the well optimisation team to improve their skills in production system modelling The successful candidate thrives in the zone between subsurface and facilities and enjoys the high degree of liaison and cooperation with Process Engineering, Production Operations, and the Subsurface Teams, which is an integral part of the job.
