Be a part of the digital transformation revolution! The Internet of Things (IoT) is changing the business landscape and Microsoft has emerged as a leading innovator in this field. The Azure IoT team is building platforms, solution accelerators and SaaS offerings to support a commanding share of the 20 billion IoT devices predicted to be connected and sending data by the end of this decade.  
 

As part of this, the Azure IoT team is looking for an energetic Senior Program Manager who thrives in ambiguous situations to leadStrategic Engagements with our largest enterprise organizations in the IoT field through their digital transformation journey. Thisincludes defining business objectives within the engagement and then creating, aligning and executing on both the business and technical integration plans whilst all of the time owning the feedback loop to your engineering colleagues to help us design better products for the future!  This role requires deep IoT Experience, Line of Business domain knowledge, technical cloud aptitude, and world class execution and communication skills.  

Responsibilities

You will have a Passion for IoT – You must genuinely LOVE the industry and how Microsoft can play an important role in shaping the future   

• You will implement strategic initiatives with the customer to enhance our alliance management capability that enables Azure IoT to achieve its growth plan and gain a reputation as a premier alliance partner. 
• You will drive the business & technical engagement strategy to meet the end customers goals, working in partnership with engineering, CXO leaders, and field teams across the customer and Microsoft 
• You will provide strategic advice on newly emerging IoT business models and map these to the customers objectives and timelinesand gather feedback to shape future roadmaps 
• You will develop a deep understanding of everything Azure IoT is doing and has planned, and become the trusted Microsoft IoT advisor in the customer 
• You will own the feedback loop to your engineering colleagues to continue to propel our product forward and will be relentless in the pursuit of insight into how IoT is being adopted by the customer - who loves it, for what scenarios and why

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience in program management or product management shipping enterprise/B2B products 
• Proven experience and understanding of IoT concepts, principals and frameworks 
• Strong technical aptitude with a deep understanding of cloud services  
• Proven experience of ability to build and maintain executive level  relationships (CXO, CDT, VP) 
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication 
• Proven experience with strategic partners. 

  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of driving transformational IoT projects to success across a range of IoT verticals 
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, similar engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience 
• Strategy / Consulting Background leading digital transformation projects 
• Deep industry IoT and Line of business domain knowledge 
• Hands on Industrial IoT (Industry 4.0) Experience a benefit 
• Azure/ Competitors Cloud Certification 
• Understand cloud deployment and adoption planning to drive Azure Consumption 
• Working knowledge of performing market analysis, competitive teardowns and customer research to validate project priorities and direction. 
• World leading organizational skills and results driven objective 

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
