The Sales and Compete CxP team in Identity engineering division within Cloud+AI works with organizations, sales/deployment teams at Microsoft and partners as well as developers from all over the world to evangelize enterprise solutions leveraging Azure Active Directory. We work directly with engineering teams to shape the products. The best of both worlds! 

We are looking for a technical program manager to join our team in Europe. 

Day to day, your and your team’s work will be to engage with enterprise customers and sales teams to create clarity across the customer’s business goals and technical requirements on their journey to the cloud. We help translate these requirements into a strong technical solution based on our Azure Active Directory technology stack. Where we identify product gaps, we then engage directly with the feature teams, sharing requirements, participating in the design of the feature and finally in validating with the customers that the new work addressed their need. Real-time, customer-obsessed engineering. This is the new Microsoft.

 

Responsibilities

As a member of this team, you will:

• Engage deeply with business, IT and developer teams of organizations around the globe and educate them on Azure Active Directory and other Microsoft identity solutions with the goal of building a secure trusted environment enabling business scenarios
• Know the ins and outs of competitors to be successful in evangelizing and assisting organizations understand, evaluate and proof out Azure Active Directory.
• Effectively formulate and tell the story of our identity and security solutions in customer visits, social media, webcasts and conferences as well as Microsoft internal events, including representing the product roadmap and vision.
• Provide thought leadership and strategic contributions to shape a strong scenario-focused, customer-centric organizational culture
• Drive programmatic changes to our customer adoption efforts, evolving them into a consistent, repeatable framework with a data-driven approach toward measuring outcomes
• Influence learning pipeline for our sales and services organization with the technical knowledge (L300+), tools and support they need to win customers so they can get the greatest possible value out of their investment.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams giving our customers a consistent experience working with customer-obsessed teams across Azure and Microsoft 365.

The ideal candidate is someone that has:

• Passion for customers and solving business scenarios (required)
  • Passion for customers and a desire to champion the customer experience and business value
  • Strong customer satisfaction track record in customer or partner-facing role with technical sales/deployment experience
  • Ability to think and communicate in terms of end-to-end scenarios
  • Great collaboration and relationship building / networking skills
• Technical knowledge in Identity or related area (required)
  • Experience working with Azure Active Directory or other identity solutions.
  • Experience with Security products and services
  • Developer background or good understanding of development concepts is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to flex communication style based on audience and situation such as IT departments, executives and engineers (required)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a desire to roll up the sleeves and make things happen (required)
• Willingness to travel (domestic and international) – up to 50% travel
• 5+ years of work experience selling, designing, building and/or implementing software products. Having 2+ years of recent experience with cloud service sales, development, design and/or deployment is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science / Business Degree or an applicable area.  MBA is a plus.
