About the department The Primary Packaging Development department develops and supports the direct drug contact packaging systems for Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceuticals. The packaging will reach our consumers and must live up to detailed criteria as to functionality, patient safety and other legislative requirements. We spend a great deal of time documenting our activities, and are ready for inspection from any health authority at all times. The job You will drive projects focusing on developing new primary packaging solutions and improving packaging in marketed products. You will provide direction and targets for your packaging team based on input from decision makers in marketing, R&D and production. You will contribute to high-level project plans as a member of project management boards. Most importantly, you will provide the setting and direction for the packaging team as they research the market, identify the best possible solution and ensure proper testing, documentation and fulfilment of regulatory requirements. Qualifications You hold a Master’s degree either within pharmacy, chemistry or engineering and have replenished your background with some years’ experience driving technically complex projects across functions in a large organisation. Preferably, you are well versed within packaging for drug contact. Alternatively, you have a background within pharmaceutical development projects. You can impact professionals and decision makers across the organisation. Your team is specialised and typically very experienced, and it is your job to create the right setting, focus and team motivation. You recognise the need for documenting our development, and you are able to translate challenges and complexity into clear options, recommendations and plans.
