About the department

You will be part of an inspiring community of around 1000 skilled and committed IT professionals who are responsible for all major IT projects and IT systems at Novo Nordisk. The position is based in Global IT Project Execution department, with highly skilled and dedicated project managers who supports the overall vision by driving a number of key IT infrastructure and IT system projects. Through your colleagues as well as the Global Project Management network, you will have a unique opportunity for professional sparring and exchange of best practices related to your daily work.

 

The position

Then seize this opportunity and apply for the position as Senior IT Project Manager. 

As Senior IT Project Manager, your projects will be among the strategically important IT projects in the company and will therefore have top priority and support from Senior Management, which demands high level of stakeholder management at all organisational levels in the company. Consequently, this job offers you the opportunity to manage your projects from early idea through development, implementation and until the business benefits have been realised – and projects are following the Agile Delivery Model based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) standards. 

Depending on the size of your project, you will have project management responsibility for up to 25 colleagues and maintain a budget up to 50 million DKK. The position is located in Bagsværd, however your daily work place can take you almost anywhere in the world according to the project you are working on.

Qualifications

You have a Master's degree (MSc) in business administration, engineering, computer science or other relevant fields with at least 4-5 years’ experience in IT project management.

You have a good comprehension of IT and potentially worked on projects within the pharma industry.

Challenging assignments motivates you, and you can absorb new knowledge quickly. 

Furthermore, you have a proven track record of delivering on the parameters of business benefits, scope, schedule and cost. You possess strong people management skills and have a natural ability to engage your stakeholders. Your structured way of working and general overview enables you to handle several tasks at the same time while keeping an ongoing focus on results. Independence, cross-cultural understanding and fluency in written and spoken English are essential. 

You are ambitious about your projects and career and interested in growing your skills as well as management expertise.
