Engineering > Project Management Office > Project Management - ELEC, ISM, PS

You will be part of the centralised project management organisation in Vestas Power Solutions with about 100 professional project managers. Your projects will primarily be executed in Data Engineering & Analytics where software development is a dominant discipline. This Vice President area has engaged in the implementation of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and you will become part of this exiting journey, accordingly experience with and interest in SAFe and agile methods is an advantage.
Your responsibilities will be to lead project teams across Vestas Power Solutions, with sites in multiple countries. You will have direct project reports, but also lead through sub project managers and team leads from the organisation. The projects have significant business impact and you must be proficient in risk management to ensure that business critical decisions are fact-based.

Your base will be in Aarhus, Denmark, and you will have limited travel to Vestas sites internationally, when needed. The project management function in Vestas Power Solutions is setting the standard for project management, and as Senior Project Manager you will be a role model and have a direct impact on the output from Vestas Power Solutions.

Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include to:

• Organise, budget, plan and execute large projects, end-to-end
• Set up an effective organisation of your projects including a strong governance
• Interface and communicate with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain
• Supervise other project managers and leads/coordinators in your projects
• Ensure delivery within time, quality and cost targets
• Contribute to development of project maturity and play an active role in the implementation of SAFe.

Qualifications
You aspire to become a successful project manager of complex cross-functional innovation or development projects and you have the following qualifications:

• Engineering degree or other relevant educational background
• Experience with software development
• Experience with integrated projects in a matrix organisation with multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience as project manager leading through sub projects or sub teams
• At least 5 years documented project management experience
• Stakeholder management and risk management at a high professional level
• Strong business acumen and understanding of how critical project decisions impact Vestas business goals

Competencies
The candidate should:

• Be a strong communicator targeting the relevant audience in the organisation
• Have strong leadership skills and be well organised and disciplined in executing projects
• Be a flexible, pro-active and outgoing team player
• Be experienced in stage gate model project delivery and ideally hold a recognised project management accreditation (preferably Prince2, PMI or IPMA)
• Be proficient in English
• Ideally have experience with SAFe)
