About the department Innovation and Device Development is an area within Device R&D responsible for developing and maturing new device concept for injection treatment of chronic diseases within all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. You will join a project team of 14 highly skilled engineers and designers, responsible for the development of a new platform of injection devices to support future Novo Nordisk drugs. We are located at a state-of-the-art R&D facility in the greater Copenhagen area. To learn more about Device Research & Development, please visit: www.novonordisk.com/device-rd The job You will become a member of mechanical development team that are currently maturing a new device concept for future production. The work will consist of CAD construction, analysis, problem solving and prototyping, testing in the lab and with users, reworking and retesting in iterative cycles. Your contribution will be in all of these areas which entails that your working day is dynamic and rarely the same as the previous. Developing medical devices requires a high level of documentation which will be a time consuming task in some periods. You will be given a number of different responsibilities and experience a variety of tasks, working with both internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications You hold an academic degree with at least 10 years of experience within mechanical development, preferably within medical device development. You have extensive experience from working with mechanical design of plastic components and mechanism design. You master CREO as your main developing tool. The preferred candidate is skilled within mechanical analytical disciplines like tolerance stack-ups and kinematic analysis. You have the ability and thrive in working with an analytical and structured approach to understand and improve complex structures and systems. Proficiency in oral and written English is essential. You are a team player by nature with the ability to work independently with a result-oriented ‘can-do’ attitude. You must be prepared to invest significant personal effort in your work and possess the ability to drive yours and others tasks by proactively take ownership of your areas of responsibility. You are a strong finisher and take pride in delivering a high quality results. Device R&D is an organisation with many international employees and we welcome non-local applicants.
