We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis specialist, whose responsibilities include installation, operation and maintenance of databases, database management systems and platforms. The role requires interaction with the IT-Support and/or the Infrastructure Specialist, Network Specialist, Operation Analyst and the Developers to optimize the operational stability and platform performance. The task is currently managed by external consultants, which puts expectations on your ability to transfer knowledge from the consultants to the line organisation. The position we offer We offer a position where you will have the opportunity to take the lead in implementations and upgrades. You will act at a global level and be responsible for cross-border operation. You will drive the optimisation of the daily operations by automating manual tasks and process improvement. As one of your daily tasks you will interact with the IT-Support and/or the Infrastructure Specialist, Network Specialist, Operation Analyst and the Developers to optimize operation stability and platform performance. The qualifications you need We are looking for a colleague who is able to manage incidents, problems and changes using a defined process framework in order to fulfil agreed SLAs and targets. You understand business requirements and the value chain in order to deliver the right solutions every time. You have the motivation for providing guidance to less experienced team members in order to share knowledge and therefore experience in teaching, educational presentations or knowledge sharing is considered beneficial.
