Established app 1 year ago, the Vessel and Asset IT is a specialized function with focus on engineering and services for the fleet of 300+ vessel and 3+ million containers. We are growing in numbers to cater for the increasing demand of services leveraging the vast amount of data that our fleet of vessels and containers already generate or can be enabled to generate.

To further mature the way we think and do solutions for our fleet and containers, we are looking for a driven senior solution architect to join the Vessel & Asset IT organisation in Maersk Technology.

This position is at the interface between business, architectural communities, projects, senior management and external stakeholders. Your role is to align parties, communicate architectural concerns to stakeholders, ensure overall architectural due diligence, and help shaping the organization by champion a business capability model for the Industrial IT area. 

You will join a team of currently 46 highly skilled employees in Copenhagen and Pune, India aiming to grow to 65 over the next 6-9 months. We deliver both agile and waterfall in close collaboration with our colleagues in the Maersk business operations.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Vessel and Asset IT, the successful candidate will: 

•Co-drive the further development of our capability map, service and product catalogue, roadmaps and application landscape together with the head of Vessel and Assets and the teams. 

•Have overall architectural responsibility for the Vessel and Asset IT application portfolio within EA guidelines hereunder for governance of system landscape, data architecture, tooling and reporting 

•Oversee design & architecture for the vessel & asset applications, for technical integrity and scalability of provided solutions.

•Manage stakeholders to ensure that all relevant parties, from the Maersk centre organization to vessel’s engineers, are understanding direction and supporting needed changes

•Work closely with the DevOps and business teams in an energetic environment

•Communicate at a senior level within the organization and influence delivery and support from other partners within and outside of the firm. 

•Establish and chair the Vessel and Asset IT architecture forum

We are looking for

Required Skills & Experience 
•Gained +10 years of IT architecture experience on enterprise level, preferably from an industrial setting
•English: Fluent in writing, conversation and negotiation
