Do you want to play a central role when we further develop and optimise our offshore wind business? Join us and become Senior Specialist focusing on logistics analysis in our Operation Analysis department. You will be part of our cross-portfolio function, which serves as a link between our technical and commercial organisation. Our primary task is to ensure that the company’s technical insights are fed into the commercial decisions, so that the maintenance demand generated by the offshore turbines can be handled by the logistical setup that we develop and implement in the operation and maintenance business cases for all our development projects. Focus is on establishing the correct level of long-term resources (technicians etc.) and the derived transportation needs from the quayside and out. This is done through modelling and analysis of weather patterns, maintenance demands and various transportation means. The department is a part of Wind Power, which has 1600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility You will work with large offshore wind projects where you will be responsible for logistics analysis, including resource and transportation simulation and optimisation, project management of own projects and presenting recommendations with regard to logistical decisions to senior management. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •be responsible for modelling logistics to establish the correct level of long-term resources (technicians etc.) and the derived transportation needs from the quayside and out for development projects •deliver quantitative analyses and evaluations of logistics concepts in O&M •maintain and develop our fleet of logistical models, including our simulation model •conduct in-depth analyses to support the development of the long-term logistics strategy for future offshore wind farms. Your profile You hold a master’s degree in, e.g., transport or supply chain management, combined with documented commercial and logistics experience and insight. You have 3+ years of relevant work experience from, e.g., the offshore or maritime industry or from other industries with a focus on transportation or flow optimisation. Moreover, you have extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, supplemented with excellent communication and project management skills. Experience with more advanced modelling, such as simulation and optimisation of logistical flows, is an advantage. It is essential that you have the ability to translate complex real-world issues into understandable models in Excel and communicate findings and recommendations. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. Other languages, such as Danish and German, are an advantage. Furthermore, you are able to create results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and business partners. You have a result-oriented approach to your work, and you are prepared to work intensely during busy periods.
