You may be our new senior statistical programmer. In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while securing that the process lives up to global standards, regulations and business ethics. About the department The Programming Anchor consists of 10 enthusiastic statistical programmers and process development specialists. The team is responsible for development and support of clinical data reporting, planning and conduct of training within systems and processes, also responsible for development, maintenance and improvement of programming tools. As an important activity the programming anchor is heavily involved in driving the Novo Nordisk CDISC implementation, aiming for CDISC founded standardisation of processes from trial outline to submission. The team is part of Novo Nordisk’s Clinical Systems Department and our key stakeholder is Biostatistics with 150 Statisticians and Statistical Programmers globally. Clinical Systems is a dynamic department which cooperates with many different professionals in the organisation both within Denmark and across borders with our affiliates in the US, India, China and Japan, as well as our outsourcing partners in India. The position is situated in Copenhagen. The position As Senior Statistical Programmer, you will be involved in programming of our permanent CDISC solution containing SDTM and ADaM generation. You will give input to development of global clinical data standards and data models and you will take part in system development and process improvement projects within statistical programming. Furthermore, you will be an active trainer and supporter in the global Biostatistics organisation. You must take responsibility for driving complex and time critical tasks as well as more standardised tasks. Development of methods and processes, as well as knowledge sharing is continuously ongoing in Novo Nordisk. Therefore we expect you to communicate programming challenges, technical problems and ideas both internally and externally. We expect you to take part in keeping Clinical Systems as a good and challenging place to work. Qualifications You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. within IT, Natural Sciences or other relevant degree, extensive knowledge and experience with SAS programming, IT system development methodologies, CDISC and clinical data domains. You have more than five years’ experience within clinical programming and are able to write efficient, well documented and standardised computer programs. Furthermore, strong cooperation and analytical skills are a necessity. You are capable of working independently, take on responsibility and show initiative. We expect you to be flexible and efficient. In addition we expect you to be able to overview several challenging tasks in parallel without compromising the quality of your work and that you remain high spirited, also when things are moving fast. Experience with project management and training skills will be an advantage. Good collaboration and communication skills are necessary characteristics and you are fluent in English.
