Would you like to work with highly technical tasks within structural disciplines? And to do this together with colleagues who are the best within their field? Then keep on reading since we have some challenging structural offshore projects, which will ensure your development within this area. Work with design of large steel solutions You will ensure the quality in design, analysis and assessment of large offshore steel structures, e.g. topside modules, bridges, FPSO and modification projects for the international offshore market. We are establishing a team within Topside Structures, at our Ramboll office in Aarhus and you will play an important part in this process together with our Team Leader. As part of our 3 month introduction programme you will be trained at our office in Esbjerg 3-4 days a week. After the training period the permanent workplace will be in Aarhus. Your tasks in a typical work week could be to: •Function as a senior engineer working on various offshore topside projects. Typically on structural design and doing analysis of steel structures •Develop overall structural layouts and design of structural solutions for our clients •Design steel structures with special focus on design of joints and connections •Some extent work together with 2D/3D CAD technicians to produce drawing materials •Prepare design calculations either via structural analysis programs or desktop calculations and prepare design reports for our clients You will also get the opportunity to travel offshore to the Danish and Norwegian parts of the North Sea to perform survey tasks, normally 2-4 times a year, 1-2 days per trip. Your new colleagues The Topside Structures department consists of 30 highly skilled colleagues in three topside teams and a CAD team, delivering high-end design services within offshore steel structures. In addition to your personal qualities, we imagine that you possess the following skills: •A master degree in engineering of buildings/structures or machinery •Min. 5 years of experience within design of steel structures, preferably from the offshore industry in Scandinavia or another region with offshore energy production •Solid experience with structural analysis tools/software within steel structures (e.g. ROSAP) •Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a must – Danish is an advantage •Experience as a lead engineer within design projects, including estimates and securing control of cost, time, resources and quality is an advantage.
