Then you could be the Senior Structural Engineer we are looking for. You will be part of our Systems Design department at FLSmidth Airtech - Air Pollution Control in Valby and join 15 colleagues dedicated to working with plant design. Detailed Description Take charge of strength calculations Senior Structural Engineer Your role will be that of the experienced craftsman guiding us through the process of constructing new support structures on site and that of the theorist providing expert advice and input for quotes. You will be in charge of various tasks, including · the entire strength calculations of projects · structural designs and calculations for filter casing, ducts and their supports · accumulation and sharing of knowledge to keep us ahead Due to the wide scope of tasks, you will cooperate with project managers and other colleagues in our Valby and Chennai offices, as well as with contractors on site. You can look forward to a challenging position where your independent viewpoints and trained eye will be much appreciated. As the job involves site visits and supervision around the world, you can anticipate one-week travels 3 or 4 times a year Job Requirements Experience with bigger plant projects and structural calculation You have an Engineering degree with main focus on structural design and calculation in primary steel and, to some extent, in concrete. In addition, you have experience from bigger plant projects, and you have worked with structural calculations on senior level. Moreover, you know finite element programmes such as STAAD Pro and other calculation tools like MathCAD and Excel. Your work methods are structured, your analytical skills far above average, and you are motivated by delivering accurate results above anything else. Our draftsmen work with tools such as AutoCAD, Solidworks and Tekla, so experience with these will be an asset. Lastly, you must demonstrate great cooperation skills and the ability to communicate easily with colleagues at all levels.
