Zealand Pharma A/S (Zealand) aims to become a fully integrated biotechnology company leading in delivery of specialty medicines. Zealand is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager who, together with the rest of the Technical Development and Operations organization, will ensure successful preparation for launch of Zealand’s late stage products and secure a sustainable commercial supply for patients. The position is in the department of Supply Chain Management, which today counts 7 employees and covers the following responsibilities; CMC Project Management, CMC Outsourcing Management, Clinical Trial Supply and Supply Chain Management, having the task of preparing for the commercial supply set-up, as Zealand is pursuing the goal of bringing own innovative pipeline products through late stage development to submission, approval, and commercial launch. The department is building up the capabilities and capacity to handle the requirements for supply chain management for commercial products and this is a unique chance to join the Zealand team and make a difference.

Job Profile

The successful candidate will as part of the Zealand team:

 Participate in planning and executing of launch supplies of Zealand’s future products, taking responsibility for supply chain related aspects and evaluation of capacity scenarios

 Describe and implement necessary SCM procedures for commercial launch in cooperation with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including supplier risk assessments

 Drive the implementation of the ERP Stock Management module and related processes, including definition interface to finance, costing and supply chain master data management processes

 Participate in implementation of serialization, track-and-trace set-up with CMOs and distributor and logistic partners

 Develop together with related stakeholders use of serialization data/information to optimize supply chain as well as patient care/service

 Set-up and manage the operational coordination with distribution channel partners (forecasting, order fulfilment, customer service, Sales and Operation Planning process etc.)

 Lead the establishment and operation of an effective Sales and Operations Planning process

 Contribute to the strategic development of Zealand Pharma supply chain set-up

 Secure timely product supply at the right time, the right price and quality for launch and for sustainable supplies to patients

 Prepare the product SCM strategy based on scenarios and risk assessments

 Take part in multi-disciplinary R&D projects for the development of drug products eligible for commercialization

 Identify risks and issues from a supply chain perspective and determine the impact to the overall project and manage actions and plans to mitigate and/or resolve.

 

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

 5-7 years of experience from managing a pharmaceutical supply chain based, at least partly, on CMOs

 2-3 years of experience with the end-to-end supply chain planning and order cycle as well as experience with production planning incl. preparation and executing launch, preferably in US

 Knowledge about serialization requirements for US and EU, and other SCM-related regulatory aspects

 Experience and knowledge about pharmaceutical distribution channels in US including import/export requirements. Experience and knowledge regarding Europe is a plus

 Experience from structured implementing and conducting S&OP processes

 Experience regarding customer service and logistics processes

 Have worked with implementation and maintenance of ERP systems (preferably Axapta) (configuration, testing, implementation, and training) in a GXP environment

 Interest and skills related to optimizing the supply chain and patient care based on available information

 Education at Bachelor or Master level in Engineering, Supply Chain, Science, Pharmacy, Business or similar Personal competencies:

 Fluent in English, Danish is a plus  Strong communication skills, orally and written

 Organized and strong project management skills

 Ability to work with ambiguous goals and contingent plans

 Ambitious high performer with strong personal drive

 Excellent collaborator and problem solver
