Would you like to demonstrate your talent in software development and system architecture? And are you motivated by working in a global team? Joining our department, you will become an active participant in the Global Software Architect Governance Team, where you will have a large degree of influence on your own working situation in a flat hierarchy and a rewarding working environment. You will be working from our office in Gråsten and should expect approx. 40 travel days per year. A unique opportunity to create the job of your dreams Your overall responsibility will be to ensure development and quality in the software architecture and design in our new software platform on subsystem level. It is important that you take part in the software development in all development phases, where your success will be measured on your ability to secure development of our new software platform, and to support the change in the organisation. Our products have to exhibit high control performance and real time behaviour while fulfilling strict safety and security requirements. We are also building the basis for next generation product line. You will be the driving for our software design being modular, flexible, and robust, and you will need to create an architecture that fulfils the requirements both from product, production and organization. Your key tasks will be to: •Develop the middleware for distribution •Develop programming interfaces for the middleware •Secure sustainable, easy-to-maintain and scalable solutions •Implement solutions that fit the business needs and optimise the work of the developers •Analyse business cases and advise internal customers on how the system should be used in the best way to reach a solution •Guide the requirement specifications phase for relevant parts •Secure documentation of system solution •Participate in high-level development tasks This is a role with great impact and with opportunities to influence both the technical solutions and the job itself and it will be possible to have a large degree of influence on the future strategy and product portfolio for the area. Technical skills combined with an interpersonal interest You hold an MSc or the like in computer science, software engineering or information technology and several years of experience in architectural software design for IT solutions, and you need to bring experience in using object-oriented design and solid knowledge of database design. We expect knowledge about distributed architecture and design that provide scalability and performance. You also bring solid experience with: •Internal scheduling and communications •“State-of-the-art” solutions/functionalities within this domain •Software architecture, design patterns, object-oriented technologies, distributed protocols and C++ •Software strategy and software architecture Development You must be able to work in groups as well as individually, and you can solve tasks from idea to final implementation. You have the ability to work on different levels of abstraction and to enter into a dialogue in a constructive way with many different people. Furthermore, you have highly developed analytical skills, and you are able to identify problems and carry out corrective actions and to prioritise efficiently between day-to-day tasks and larger projects. Finally, you have a holistic and global mind-set and good communication skills in English, spoken as well as written.
